What is a first night bag?  A backpack that symbolizes that kids coming into care are worth being treated with love and dignity. A first night back pack is a backpack that is gender and age appropriate that contains everything a child would need for an overnight stay including: underwear, socks, PJ's, outfit, diapers, wipes, a bottle, formula, Bible, blanket, toothbrush toothpaste, shampoo, a comb, notebook, pencil, and a special note and lucky duck.

Who can receive that first night bag?  Any child coming into foster care or changing homes to go to a new foster parent or to a group or residential  home. 

Is my donation tax-deductible? Yes your donation is tax-deductible Divine Nest is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization 

Can you be a single parent and Foster? Yes you can.

What is The Nest trailer? The Nest trailer gives the community an opportunity to build first night bags for children coming into foster care. 

How can I help? #GoSendPray… If you feel like you should be a foster parent for adoptive parent please seek out resources and learn how to make it happen. If you can't be a foster or adoptive parent, can you support someone who can? If you can't do either of these can you pray for the orphans and families that are preparing for this journey? Our hope is that you answer that with a "YES"!
